Shiksha Kendra is an identifiable feature of DPS Society. Keeping in view that “Education is not the prerogative of a chosen few only but a privilege of all”, DPS, Bahadurgarh endeavours to develop a child into a good human being having a well balanced personality who can shoulder the responsibilities entrusted to him as a devoted citizen of the country. No effort is spared to produce an all-round, nicely developed and well-balanced personality of the child by a competent team of trained, zealous and devoted teachers.

The establishment of Shiksha Kendra has been with the purpose of encouraging the meritorious cum needy children to receive good education, the school grants a number of stipends and scholarships on the basis of merit. Talented children from the weaker sections of the society are admitted by giving them scholarships. Deserving students with parents of low income are given school scholarships. The objective of these activities is to inculcate a spirit of togetherness among the students to train them to work as a team and develop a sense of achievement and confidence in their abilities.

Establishing such Kendras’ is realization of a dream of a visionary in fulfilling the aspirations of parents yearning for qualitative educational facilities for their wards. It marks the emergence of a new horizon in learning.

At the Shiksha Kendras the children of the urban slum "Jhuggi Dwellers" are imparted education by DPS teachers. The students use the same class-rooms, furniture and books and are taught by our teachers in the afternoon. Bright children are identified and main streaming is done. The tution fee is marginal for name sake a token amount is charged. Thus DPS fulfills its social cause by adhering to its motto "Service Before Self".
